"America is exceptional"
On August 31, 2016 Hillary Clinton gave a speech to the American Legion, promoting American Exceptionalism. In the speech she said, "When we say America is exceptional, it doesn't mean that people from other places don't feel deep national pride, just like we do. It means that we recognize America's unique and unparalleled ability to be a force for peace and progress, a champion for freedom and opportunity."
"Our power comes with a responsibility to lead humbly, thoughtfully and with a fierce commitment to our values. Because when America fails to lead, we leave a vacuum. That either causes chaos, or other countries or networks rush in to fill the void."
That's very interesting, as Hillary Clinton spent her entire adult lifetime being a liberal and liberals strongly dislike the idea of America being exceptional - in any way. Liberals want America to be the same as every other country and definitely NOT exceptional.
Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State puppet for U.S. President Barack Obama (who was against the very idea of American Exceptionalism and often said so). For years, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton helped make America look weak and unexceptional throughout the world. Now, suddenly, as she is running for the nation's highest office, Hillary Clinton is promoting and encouraging U.S. patriotism and exceptionalism??? She's a hypocrite. She's a political hypocrite, pandering for votes. I find that offensive. As an American, an American who loves and appreciates his very exceptional country, and who is himself exceptional (lol), I personally take great offense, offense as a lifelong U.S. citizen, at the pro-American Exceptionalism hypocrisy spouted by a left-wing liberal presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, who is giving anti-liberal pro-America speeches. She's making speeches promoting things she does not believe in, in a corrupt lying politically motivated effort to get more votes. She doesn't think that America is exceptional, she thinks Hillary Clinton is exceptional!
America has ALWAYS been exceptional (except when diminished and driven into decline lately by liberal Democrats and do-nothing Republicans). Even with its flaws and imperfections, America is exceptional, in many ways. And has been since 1776. America is a unique and exceptional nation, with freedom and opportunity for all. However, freedom and opportunity in America requires that individuals, not the government, take primary responsibility for their lives. This goes against the ages-old liberal philosophy which believes that government is the answer, and America should not be exceptional.
Actually, if you want to know the truth, nations are not exceptional, individuals are. It's the exceptional individuals in any nation (and any government) that can make good things happen, that can change things for the better. That being the case, be an individual. Be exceptional.
America IS exceptional. Here's the proof. Here is a list of some of the "exceptional" things Americans have invented:
The internet
The computer
The telephone
Television
The electric guitar
The refrigerator
The automobile
The frisbee
Jeans
Dental floss
Potato chips
YouTube
The credit card
