Boos on Broadway

Mike Pence, the vice presidential elect and a Republican, went to the Broadway hit show, "Hamilton". He was booed as he attended the show Friday night in New York.

The cast had a message for Pence after the show as he was walking out saying, “We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir.”

Some audience members took to twitter to report that the show was paused several times as the crowd booed Pence at certain lines of the show.

Cast member Brandon Dixon delivered the statement on behalf of the cast.

This is bad behavior. It is inappropriate for an actor to use the stage for off-show political statements. The cast is not paid to make political statements, they are paid to act. The audience paid a lot of money to see the "Hamilton" play - not to be treated to, or offended by, onstage and pre-prepared left-wing liberal political messages.

The "Hamilton" idjiots (and the audience) turned a Broadway stage into a protest. It's rude. And bad behavior. And inappropriate. These actors get paid handsomely to act, on stage, not to use the stage for a political protest.

Hey, liberals, you lost the 2016 election. You're losers. Sorry about that but it does not give you the right to be rude. Or nasty. Or boo the winners. Get over yourselves. Whoever gave loser liberals the right to grossly misbehave? Perhaps it was the liberal mainstream media. Or extreme liberal organizations. Or liberal universities. Or, more likely, bad behavior is a result of bad parenting.
