"Canadian parent wants no gender designation on child's birth certificate
British Columbia -- The parent of a baby has put no gender identification on the child's birth certificate and is in a battle with the government to keep it that way, reports say.
The CBC reports Kori Doty, who identifies as neither male or female, gave birth to Searyl Atli in November.
British Columbia officials have refused to issue a birth certificate for Searyl because of Doty's stance, the BBC reports. However, the child did receive a health card with a "U" in the space for "sex," meaning "unassigned." The card allows the parent and child to receive medical care."
Besides male and female, there are now more than 50 gender identities. Really? Yes. And the mother of this baby wants NO gender identification on the kid's birth certificate?
As if life isn't complicated enough.
The world population in 2017 is estimated at 7.5 billion people. And the entire world is partially-to-mainly based on gender. So why don't we just immediately change the entire world, and society, to accommodate a tiny percentage of the planet's population? Yeah, let's totally change society. Immediately. To accommodate .4% of the population (less than 1%). Sounds reasonable to me. Not.
The world and its societies are huge. And slow to change direction. Like an oil supertanker. Do you know how many miles it takes for a fully loaded oil supertanker to make a turn? 200 miles! A fully loaded oil supertanker going 200 miles would take about 17 hours. 17 hours just to change direction, to make a turn. And, like a loaded supertanker, it takes a large society a long time to change direction. Years, decades, generations, to change direction. Let's be a little more patient.
And good luck to you, Canada. You are the first country to struggle with the politically correct radical societal issue of NO gender.
